Fomulation

Complexity, Designed by Nature. Refined by Science.

At SenoBiotic, formulation begins with a principle familiar to natural-product chemists:

nature is an extraordinary molecular architect.

A botanical ingredient is rarely defined by a single molecule. It can contain a chemically diverse matrix of terpenes, sesquiterpenes, phenylpropanoids, flavonoids, alkaloids, organic acids, polysaccharides, and other volatile and non-volatile constituents. Many natural products also possess features that are difficult to reproduce efficiently at scale: multiple stereocenters, sp³-rich three-dimensional carbon frameworks, fused and bridged ring systems, dense oxygenation, and highly specific chiral arrangements. Modern organic synthesis can reproduce many individual natural molecules, but recreating the complete molecular diversity, stereochemical architecture, and compositional balance of a natural botanical material is a fundamentally different challenge.

This is especially relevant to aromatic natural materials. Their scent is often not the property of one isolated compound, but the result of numerous volatile molecules appearing together at characteristic ratios, with subtle differences in stereochemistry and concentration changing the overall sensory profile.

That complexity is why we do not approach traditional formulation as a list of ingredients.

We approach it as a system.

Our formulation team brings together doctoral-level expertise across biology, chemistry, biomedical science, and engineering. Every material considered for a SenoBiotic formula is reviewed from two directions: its historical role in traditional materia medica and the modern scientific literature surrounding its known chemical constituents, biological pathways, safety profile, aromatic characteristics, and formulation compatibility. We distinguish published evidence from hypothesis and traditional use, because responsible formulation begins with understanding both what is known and what remains uncertain.

To organize that knowledge, we work with computer-science researchers to build

SenoBiotic’s proprietary Virtual Formulation Library.

Our growing database contains more than 200 traditional botanical and natural materials, with human-curated annotations linking each material to literature, chemical composition, sensory attributes, ingredient relationships, and practical formulation constraints.

This curated database powers our

AI-assisted formulation workflow.

Instead of asking an algorithm to invent combinations from an unrestricted ingredient list, our system searches within a scientist-reviewed formulation space. Customers can specify desired formulation goals, aromatic preferences, ingredient exclusions, and other constraints; the system then identifies candidate combinations for further human review and refinement.

You can explore a personalized formulation through this platform, or choose one of our finished formulas—already researched, balanced, processed, and compressed into

wearable botanical beads.

From natural-product chemistry to computational formulation to material engineering, every SenoBiotic bead begins with the same idea:

Preserve nature’s complexity. Interrogate it with modern science. Redesign it for contemporary life.
